DEER LODGE DEMOLITION DERBY

This years Deer Lodge Demolition Derby was very successful. We had a good number of vehicles, both large and Herby Derby. The grandstands were packed with spectators and everyone seemed to have a great time, with Crash the Clown entertaining the crowd and giving away prizes to the kids..

We witnessed a marriage proposal from one of the drivers (she said yes I presume from all the hugs and kisses!), and a couple of TV celebrities showed up as pit crew (Jimmy and James Smith from History Channel’s ‘Ax Men’).

The 32nd Demolition Derby started at 6pm with the first award going to the Best of Show.

Three heats followed, then the Herby Derby, a consolation round and then the Main Event.

ADULTS (13 AND OVER) – $8.00

CHILDREN (6 – 12) – $6.00

5 AND UNDER – FREE

Tickets were available in advance from MRC, Valley Foods and Keystone Drug

Trophy & Cash for Best Dressed Car – $50^.00

HEAT MONEY: Top Three Finishers in each heat received $25.00 and advance to Main.

CONSOLATION MATCH: (No Heat Money) Top two advanced to Main.

HERBY DERBY

(Compact & Sub-Compact Cars – tire height no more than 25” high and wheel base not to exceed 105”)

1^st – $500^.00 and a Trophy        2^nd – $250^.00 and a Trophy

3^rd – $100^.00                                    4^th – $50^.00

REGISTRATION FEES

• Advance Registration (up to 5:30 pm August 19th) – $35^.00
• After August 19th – $40^.00

 Payable to the Powell County Chamber of Commerce, 1109 Main Street, Deer Lodge, MT 59722

 Fees included driver and two (2) Pit Men. An $8.00 fee was charged for each additional Pit Man.

 Maximum of four (4) pitmen allowed per car.
